The China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Civil Affairs recently approved the application of the China Lighting Association to establish a new energy lighting professional committee, and the relevant procedures have been fulfilled. So far, the number of branches affiliated to the Institute has increased to 19.
The development and utilization of new energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy and bio-energy is of great significance to alleviating China's energy shortage, achieving sustainable development of the national economy, controlling environmental pollution and improving people's living standards. The new energy lighting market has broad prospects, especially in the western region, a few remote areas, the southeast coast, the vast rural energy difficulties and tight supply areas, and urgently need to use new energy to illuminate new technologies.
New energy lighting involves two areas of new energy and lighting. It has agreed with the China Renewable Energy Society to form a new energy lighting professional committee. To facilitate management, the committee's external name is the New Energy Professional Committee of the China Lighting Society. The China Lighting Association applies for registration with the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The administrative aspects are managed by the China Lighting Society, and the business side is jointly managed. The two associations jointly organized relevant discipline experts and scholars to work closely together to organize academic exchange activities to continuously develop and improve the level of new energy.
During the preparatory period, the committee has organized two large-scale academic seminars in China, focusing on comprehensive analysis of various problems in new energy lighting, and proposed improvements and methods. Both meetings have achieved good results, which have attracted extensive attention from experts, scholars and scientific and technological workers engaged in research, teaching, production units and application units of new energy lighting technologies throughout the country.
The New Energy Professional Committee will organize and unite national new energy lighting technology workers, conduct academic seminars, technical consultations, and technical services to make due contributions to the prosperity and development of China's new energy lighting industry.
