On October 22, 2010, the Jiangsu OLED Industry Alliance inauguration jointly organized by 20 enterprises, universities and research institutes in Jiangsu Province was held in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province.
It is understood that the guiding unit of the alliance is the Jiangsu Economic and Information Technology Commission. The purpose of the alliance is to provide a platform for cooperation, communication, and innovation. It will promote the application and industrialization of OLED technology in Jiangsu Province and provide OLED independent innovation and industrialization. Services, to achieve the overall development of standard formulation, technological progress and industrial leapfrogging development, to form an OLED industry group with significant influence in the province, enhance the OLED technology and industry competitiveness of Jiangsu Province, and provide the impetus for the development of China's OLED industry.
At present, the alliance consists of Visionox Corporation, Kunshan Institute of Technology New Flat Panel Display Technology Center Co., Ltd., Nanjing Panda Electronics Group, AU Optronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Suzhou Ruihong Electronic Chemicals Co., Ltd., Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Suzhou University, Jiangsu Province Electronic Information Industry Quality Supervision Research Institute and other 20 R & D units and upstream and downstream industry chain companies.
The flat panel display industry is one of the core pillar industries of the electronic information industry. Its level of development is a manifestation of the country’s scientific and technological strength and comprehensive national strength. The development of the flat panel display industry has the characteristics of large market size and obvious positive effect of upstream and downstream industries. It is of great significance in promoting the transformation of China's economic development mode and optimizing and upgrading the industrial structure. Organic Light Emitting Display (OLED, Organic Light Emitting Display) is hailed as a new generation of display technology following the CRT and LCD. The development of this industry has been highly valued at the national level.
Jiangsu Province started early in the development of the OLED industry. In 2005, it began to introduce the OLED project of Tsinghua University. In 2008, Kunshan Visionox built its first large-scale OLED production line in Jiangsu Province. At the same time, Jiangsu Province attaches great importance to the layout of the OLED industry. In June this year, China's first AMOLED pilot line was completed in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province.
