Sagitar and the rookie network jointly released the world's first solid-state laser radar unmanned logistics vehicle

On June 1st, Sagitar Juchuang announced the launch of the world's first unmanned logistics vehicle G Plus with solid-state laser radar.

The G Plus is equipped with three Sagitar's solid-state laser radar RS-LiDAR-M1Pre, the first solid-state laser radar to be used in the unmanned field. The fixed laser radar can ensure a more powerful 3D environment sensing ability in the driving direction, so that the unmanned logistics vehicle can clearly see the shape, distance, azimuth, driving speed and driving direction of obstacles such as pedestrians, cars and trucks in the driving direction. It also indicates the roads that can be driven, etc., so as to ensure that unmanned logistics vehicles can pass smoothly in complex road environments.

The MEMS micro mirror scanning scheme adopted by the RS-LiDAR-M1Pre requires only a few laser emitters and receivers to be scanned by the MEMS micro-mirror in both directions because the swing angle is very fine. Therefore, the angular resolution is very high, and the vertical angle of the entire field of view is resolved to 0.2°. In contrast, traditional mechanical multi-line LiDARs need to achieve the same effect, requiring hundreds of laser transmitters and receivers to rotate at the same time, which will greatly increase material costs and labor adjustment costs, and reduce yield and reliability. Therefore, the advantages of MEMS solid-state technology are obvious. While improving the performance of the laser radar, the radar cost is avalanche-type, and the scanning structure is miniaturized, which greatly improves the stability of LiDAR and makes it easier to pass the vehicle gauge.

In addition, the rookie has also launched the “Hump” unmanned logistics plan jointly with the eco-partners such as Sagitar Jude, FAW Jiefang, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Dingda. At present, Sagitar and Alibaba have reached a strategic partnership. Solid-state laser radar will be provided for rookie unmanned logistics vehicles. Solid-laser radar will greatly reduce the cost of unmanned logistics vehicles, ensure that unmanned logistics vehicles can be mass-produced on a large scale, and make unmanned logistics vehicles rapidly popularize and serve the society.
