Potentiometer classification and model

(1) Classification by resistor body material:

1. Wirewound potentiometer: Its resistor body is made of a wire wound around a metal or non-metal plate coated with an insulating material. It can be divided into general purpose, precision, high power, pre-debug wirewound potentiometer - model WX;

2. Non-wire wound potentiometer: can be divided into solid potentiometer, membrane potentiometer.

Solid potentiometer: it can be divided into 1 organic synthesis - WS, 2 inorganic synthesis - WN, 3 conductive plastic - WD;

Membrane potentiometer: It can be divided into 1 carbon film potentiometer - WT, 2 metal film potentiometer - WJ.

(2) Classification according to adjustment methods: 1 rotary type, 2 push-pull type, 3 straight slide type potentiometer

(3) Classification according to the change rule of resistance value: 1 linear type, 2 index type, 3 logarithmic type

(4) Classification according to structural characteristics: single circle, multiple turns, single joint, double joint, multiple joint, tap type, with switch, locking type, non-locking type, patch potentiometer;

(5) According to the different driving modes: 1 manual adjustment potentiometer, 2 electric adjustment potentiometer.

(6) Other classification methods: 1 ordinary, 2 magnetic sensitive, 3 photosensitive, 4 electron, 5 step potentiometer.
